Step 1

The most important thing is to consider the size of the gifts. If you are giving away small candies, make sure the box isn’t too big. Likewise, you don’t want to cramp the present inside a small box. As for the shape, it can be square, rectangular or any other shape.

Step 2

Once you have chosen the size of the wedding favour box, look online for custom box supplies. Note that sites will sell the boxes by specific quantities (25, 50, 100 boxes per single order etc).

Many of them are sold in different styles and shapes. While you’ll be doing most of the decorations, a pre-decorated box can provide you with a template.

Follow all the instructions on how to order the boxes. Study the terms and agreement and make sure you are aware of all the charges, including the shipping.

Step 3

When you get the boxes, it’s time to decorate them. There are several ways to do this. You can tie it with a ribbon for something a simple yet elegant look.

Or you can use computer illustration / design programs. Open your design program and draw a pattern. Edit it any way you like. When the results are the way you want it, print it out. Cut the pattern out and stick it on the box. You can also print the monogram on the printer. Slice them and stick them to the favor box.

Tips

Sticker paper is very affordable. You can get many elements on a single sheet, so they are worth the purchase. Ribbons are also very reasonably priced so you can purchase as many as needed.

When designing the patterns and looks, try not to get carried away and stick to the colors and themes of the wedding. If the prevailing colors are blue and white, make sure to include them in the design. If the colors are that of spring, include them in the pattern.

What these facts show is you don’t have to spend a lot of money on wedding favour boxes. With just a bit of patience and creativity, you’ll be able to come up with your own designs. Now you don’t have to worry about the boxes not matching up with your wedding theme.
